Did you know that there’s a lot more to health and fitness than just addressing your body? 

The way I see it, it’s a soul, energy, mind and body situation.

Long story short – I set out to learn how to help myself achieve emotional and physical balance, thinking that if I could learn how to help myself, I could help other women who were struggling with the same or similar issues.

This led me to get my Health + Fitness CoachTransformation Specialist: Behavioral Change + Positive Psychology, Nutritionist: Intuitive Eating Specialist and Master Trainer: Strength + Conditioning, Glutes, Kickboxing, Running, Tactical Conditioning, Corrective Exercise and Exercise Therapy certifications with additional CEUS in HIIT, HIIT: Boxing and Upper/Lower Body Superset Training for Boxing.

My intention is to help women achieve and maintain emotional and physical balance with a soul, energy, mind and body approach. 

You may be wondering what the heck any of this has to do with personal training??!

Well, I’m a different kind of coach and trainer –

My belief is that lasting change cannot be achieved by addressing only the outside. When you get to where you’re in a state of emotional and physical balance, you will feel it on the inside and it will be reflected on the outside.

I offer all inclusive, “soul, energy, mind and body fitness” training, where we un-become the un-healthy and re-program a new state of being.

With that, I like to say that I train from the inside out.

Like I said above, I train from the inside out, offering all inclusive, “soul, energy, mind and body fitness” training, where we un-become the un-healthy and re-program a new state of being.

I know, I know – on the surface, that may sound like a little more than you’re bargaining for if “you’re just looking for a personal trainer”..

You want to get stronger, maybe lose a few pounds, learn to eat a little better – the usual.

What if I told you that your body is a reflection of everything you have going on on the inside?

Think about it like this – the 20 lbs you want to lose are a symptom of something. You may lose them initially, but if you don’t go to the root of the issue, they will come back.

Emotional disturbances will  eventually, if not immediately, cause cracks or holes in the foundation of you. Society has conditioned us to look externally, materially or physically to fill the cracks and holes rather than healing them from the inside. 

Stress, survival, trauma, your sense of worth, how you feel about yourself,  what you believe about yourself, whether you’re happy or sad, roles you are living – your body is a reflection of all of it

Something else to think about, what you believe to be true will be true –

If you believe you’re not athletic, you won’t be, if you believe you’re “old” you will be. If you believe you’re Health + Fitness is predetermined by your genetics, it will be, if you believe just can’t do something, you won’t be able to do it.

So how does all of this fit together?

I f there’s a crack, a hole or an entanglement, you’ll experience an emotional and physical imbalance.

Part of what I do is teach you how to heal the cracks and the holes from the inside and untangle your emotional and physical entanglement – meaning, learning to identify each the difference between what each wants compared to what each requires. For example, your body requires water but you’re having emotional stress and you want to “comfort” yourself with a platter of brownies, or the bag of chips. 

This is a significant component of Intuitive Eating.

No fad diets here, by the way.

My training includes working from the inside → out, starting at the soul level – which may sound a little deep – but it works, strengthening and honoring yourself on the inside, when you do that it’s reflected on the outside.

My training also includes teaching you about energy, what we emit and what we receive and the impacts thereof.

Something else we look that is the mind – body – body – mind link, un-becoming the un-healthy and re-programing a new state of being.

State of being? Yes, the feelings, habits, beliefs and experiences that we embody

Everything I teach is foundational working from the inside out, soul, energy, mind and body.

Real, lasting progress only comes when you “train from the inside out”.

Soul

Our soul is our innermost self, our spiritual or non-physical essence.

💡 Neville Goddard explains that we are a Soul existing in a body.

This is an important theory to understand as we untangle our emotional and physical entanglement. We’re not severing the connection between them – untangling or deconstructing it means to understand our emotional requirements and our physical requirements, independent of each other, while observing how and where they get tangled up, how to make choices that best serve each of them independently and together.

Energy

Energy is a lot more than calories and fats, or how tired you are when you get up in the morning, these are examples of physical energy.

I believe there are Spiritual, scientific and physical energies. Scientific and physical energy overlap, but for the purpose if explaining here, I’m talking about them individually.

Examples: Chakras = Spiritual, Electromagnetic = Scientific, Calories/Fats = Physical

We receive sensory input as energy, which produces a feeling which then produces a thought which then produces an emotion which produces a chemical reaction within our body – all stemming from energy.

We “translate” the energy we receive as sensory input based on our beliefs, past experiences and knowledge. 

I mentioned earlier that our body is a reflection of everything we have going on on the inside – stress, trauma, survival (fight or flight), happiness, sadness, love, gratitude. They’re all energetic expressions, or energetic states of being, each type impacting us in different ways, triggering chemical responses within our body such as stress as cortisol or something pleasurable as dopamine. In addition to chemicals, they also activate genetic expressions.

Mind

People often use the terms “mind” and “brain” interchangeably. 

Our brain is the organ, while the mind is our consciousness, which is also energy.

The mind processes, feelings, thoughts, emotions, beliefs, creativity, inspiration, intuition, login, rational, etc., but the mind is not those things. 

Notice the difference. – the mind processes the things but it is not the things.

Each of the above is also linked to our heart and our gut – not the physical elements, but the energy centers.

I’ve mentioned the mind- body – body – mind link, I’ll get more into that as we go along. It’s pretty fascinating.

💡 Dr. Joe Dispenza says that if we can change our mind we can change our brain and if we can change our brain we can change our mind.

Body

I’ve mentioned several times that the body is a reflection of what we have going on on the inside, let’s simplify that a little

We receive sensory input as energy, we express sensory output – our responses to received sensory input – also as energy.

Negative energy is depleting
*It literally sucks the life out of us, activating genetic expressions such as grey hair, dull appearance, sore muscles for no reason, tired

Positive energy produces more energy
*Creativity, inspiration, productivity, resilience, improved mood, improved outlook, improved coping.

Having said that, if you go to the gym and only work on the outside, the body, you’ll be going up against all of the “negatives”. That’ll be like climbing a mountain, against a boulder.

But if you work sequentially, from the inside → out, ie soul, energy, mind and body – no more mountain, no more boulder.

For a lot of us, our first instinct is to give an external reason for our motivation, such as kids or family, or a material reason such as looking better in our clothes, or so someone else might find us more attractive.

**Did you know that the greatest motivating factor is actually you??

I’m new to prioritizing myself, as a mom, I never felt right about doing it. But I learned that I need to be *good*, whole and fulfilled within myself, otherwise, I’m no good to anyone else

I had to go within to accomplish that.

If you haven’t already, you may soon recognize that I’m a broken record on the topic of going within – before anything else. In order for any changes to be reflected outside, we must first go within.

This is why I say I train from the inside out.

What does this mean in regards to motivation?? It means our motivation must come from within

Your kids, family, loved ones, friends, etc. are great motivating factors, but they can’t be the motivation. 

If you aren’t wanting to do better, be better, feel better for yourself, for you, nothing you do to the outside will stick. Any “progress” you make will be fleeting and you’ll end up in a dysfunctional and unhealthy cycle.

Did you know that our Health + Fitness is not actually predetermined by our genetics? Neither are our choices and habits.

At any time – we can decide to “do” differently, your current circumstances are not a life sentence.

There are studies showing that environment has more to do with genetic expressions than the actual genes. The medical industry and big pharma profit on us believing that we are dependent on them because of our genes, but the truth is that our Health + Fitness is not a life sentence as determined by our genetics.

Just as many people have triggers or activators, prompting reactions, behaviors or choices, our genes can be triggered or activated prompting expressions. The trick is to change the prompt!!

This is a very fascinating topic –

The long story short is – contrary to popular belief, our genes are not running the show. We can decide at any time to make changes with our Health + Fitness, simply by changing our mind.

I know some of what I say may differ from mainstream or popular belief and I’m not going to preach my beliefs to your or try and change your mind, but, maybe I can offer a different way to look at things so you can decide –

My intention is to help women achieve and maintain emotional and physical balance with a soul, energy, mind and body approach. 

My belief is that only by working from the inside out, will anything in our external world will ever change or evolve – you have to work on the inside first for it to be reflected outside.
