My Intention

My intention is to help women achieve and maintain emotional and physical balance with a soul, energy, mind and body approach.

I want to help women find freedom and wholeness within themselves, to no longer be enslaved by body issues, food and eating issues, lack of confidence and insecurity, etc.

I offer something different, and it works.

I grew up in sports, softball, track, rodeo.

I was still rodeoing in college, but I also developed an interest in boxing, I didn’t necessarily want to fight, but I loved the training aspect of it.

Following a series of events, I recognized an emotional and physical imbalance, like each was trying to destroy the other – and I was losing on both ends. 

I didn’t know how to *really* process and deal with the fear, worry, stress, trauma and insecurities – all of the things that we’re taught to sweep under the rug. 

Society conditions us to fix things on the outside, that as long as things look ok, everything is fine. 

I had to fix the cracks and fill in the holes on the inside.

My thinking was, if I can “fix this” and achieve emotional and physical balance within myself, I can help other women do the same.

I found balance and wholeness within myself, in part, by untangling the emotional and physical entanglement –

What does that mean?

Differentiating between and learning what each requires.

This led me to an interest in intuitive eating. No more diets, no more eating programs, no more cutting out food groups or counting anything.

I’ve done a lot of research on the mind – body – body – mind link and how to un-become the un-healthy and re-program a new state of being.

State of being? Yes, who you are being, the feelings, thoughts, beliefs, habits, etc. you embody.

When you begin to heal the cracks and fill in the holes, you will begin to feel different. If you train with me, you won’t just be working on the outside, on the symptoms, we’ll go to the root of the issue, inside.

Lasting change cannot be achieved by addressing only the outside, or the symptom. When you get to where you’re in a state of wholeness within yourself, where you’re not looking for someone or something to fill a void, emotional and physical balance, it will be reflected on the outside.

With that, I like to say that I train from the inside out.

I actually have 2 exciting things to announce –

1. I’m now training out of IronFit Gym in Madisonville, offering personal training, education and a Health + Fitness Support group for women.

2. I’m partnering with KORB Health in Austin. As a Health Coach, I can offer condition-specific guidance with coaching and training while KORB Health can offer medical and pharmaceutical assistance if necessary.

WHAT'S WITH THE DANDELIONS??

I’ve always loved dandelions, picking them and making wishes, watching the seed-head float away.

But I found out a while back that dandelions symbolize strength, resilience and transformation.

If you look at a dandelion, you’d think it was fragile and delicate, but they are actually one of the hardiest-flowers, one of the first to grow in the Spring and one of last to go dormant in the Winter. They also flourish in some of the harshest environments.

With that, I thought they’d be perfect to use here!!
